Springtime Along the Ozark Trail

Spring, what a wonderful time to be on the OT.  This photo is of Rocky Falls.  Located a short hike on a spur trail from the Current River Section of the Ozark Trail, and well worth the walk.  The falls are over 40 ft. tall and beautiful.  If you have any guidebook or Ozark Trail questions, please feel free to send Margo an email ( margo@ozarktrailguide.com )

It's finally springtime, get out and enjoy!  -Happy Trails

Mina Sauk Falls

Johnson's Shut-Ins remains closed, but the Ozark Trail to Mina Sauk Falls remains open.  This waterfall is Missouri's tallest and will be flowing after rains or snow/ice melts.  This is one of the most beautiful areas in all of the world.

Here's a glade view from along the Ozark Trail going to Mina Sauk falls from a top Taum Sauk Mountain.  Taum Sauk Mountain is the tallest point in Missouri at 1772 feet.  The highest point is just a short walk from the parking lot at Taum Sauk Mountain State Park.

During the winter the wildflowers may not be in bloom but there are many Lichens that are in "bloom".

Klepzig Mill

Built in 1912, this mill sits on Rocky Creek along the Current River section of the Ozark Trail.  This section of the OT is one of the most beautiful with several creek crossings and mountain views.
